Blue Pig Art Gallery’s Art & Chocolate Walk

Saturday, Nov. 30: 10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Palisade stores and vendors are all open and offering free chocolate to everyone all day. The event starts at 10:30 am and lasts until 3:30 pm.

Pick up a punch card at participating merchants and get it punched at each location. Turn your card in at your last stop and be entered into a drawing for a big basket of goodies, filled with art, chocolate and many other wonderful things.

The Blue Pig Gallery offers a fine selection of hand made gourmet chocolates for the event. Stroll around to enjoy a vast variety of fine art, gourmet foods, toys, jewelry, and one-of-a-kind gifts. Get started on your holiday shopping at this fun event!

Palisade Welcomes You & Yours to an Olde Fashioned Christmas

December 6-7, 2019

Welcome to Olde Fashioned Christmas 2019. The whole town will be decorating for an experience that will take you out of the hustle and bustle to enjoy holiday magic with all the sights, sounds, tastes and joys of the season.

Find your holiday shopping a pleasure with the combination of over forty vendor booths and unique gift shops in downtown Palisade. Plan on spending the weekend with us shopping, sampling soups, singing carols, sharing a carriage ride, marveling at gingerbread creations, walking through history, spreading good cheer and savoring the flavor of Palisade.

Altrusa’s Cup of Warmth –

For only $1 you can enjoy a tasty cup of soup at the Slice of Life Bakery  before the annual tree lighting and Parade of Lights. All proceeds benefit Altrusa International of Palisade. Altrusa supports community projects throughout Palisade and participates through  local book giveaways, literacy programs, the Mesa County Kids Aid back pack program and other charitable causes.

Light the Town Tree with caroling by the Taylor Elementary Serenaders

Warm up with hot cocoa and coffee at the Plaza, enjoy carols and music provided by Taylor Elementary students and watch the annual Tree Lighting in the Plaza.

The Parade of Lights

Floats, bands, horses, fire trucks, buggies and of course a visit from Santa!

Breakfast with Santa

Enjoy breakfast with Santa at Wine Country Inn, Santa and his elves will arrive around 8:45 am. $15/adult includes one child, additional kids 5-12 $7, 4 yrs and under are free.  Adults are $15 and include one child ticket, additional kids 5 – 12 years old are $7 and kids 4 and under are FREE. Tickets go on sale October 1, 2019.

Santa’s Workshop and Holiday Shopping in our Palisade Marketplace

Enjoy shopping and browsing over twenty holiday vendor booths and artisan gifts. Check out the soup challenge, visit Santa’s Workshop in the Community Center, participate in the silent auction, enjoy shuttle rides and family carriage rides in downtown Palisade and let the children take a ride on the Candy Cane Express.

The Soup Challenge

Stop by, sample and judge your favorite soup at the Marketplace Downtown.

Music at the Methodist Church and at the Seventh Day Adventist Church next door will entertain and delight. The Nativity Set Collection is on display at the Seventh Day Adventist Church.  Story telling will be at the library to entertain young and old.

The Annual Rotary Silent Auction will have items for bid, located at the Palisade Chamber of Commerce office at 305 Main Street. Check out the many items donated by local merchants from dining certificates, warm alpaca items, night stays, jewelry and so much more.
