Palisade Plunge
What you need to know before taking the plunge.
The Palisade Plunge was over a decade in the making and is officially open! If youβre a thrill-seeking advanced mountain biker youβre probably chomping at the bit to take the plunge. Here are a few things you should know and consider before you hit the Palisade Plunge Trail.
THIS TRAIL IS FOR EXPERIENCED RIDERS
Your safety is your own personal responsibility. All riders should exercise caution and excellent judgment when choosing to ride this trail and while on the trail. If youβre unsure of your ability to safely ride the whole trail, we recommend starting at Shirt Tail Point and reassessing from there.
THE TRAIL IS RAW
This is a new adventure trail so it is raw and certain sections may require hiking.
THIS TRAIL HAS BLACK DIAMOND SECTIONS
There are Black Diamond sections β scout before you ride, and walk if unsure of ability.
BE PREPARED!
Bring food and water with you as none will be available on the trail. Pack more water than you expect to need. This trail is mostly exposed so plan accordingly for the weather.
NO E-BIKES
E-bikes are not allowed on the Palisade Plunge trail.
FOLLOW POSTED SIGNAGE
Pay attention to your location on the trail via signage and noted landmarks. If you are injured or unable to continue riding, follow the Palisade Plunge Trail. Do not attempt to take shortcuts or utilize access roads as they may take you further away from help. Emergency services are accessed by calling 911.
SHUTTLE SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE
We recommend utilizing designated shuttle services for trail access from one of our local partners.
