Take a hike around the Palisade Rim Trail.
This beautiful hiking trail in Colorado will take you up and around the southern rim of Palisade. The full hike is 13 miles in total, and can take anywhere from three to seven hours to complete. Hike the lower loop for a shorter 4 mile hike and enjoy scenic views of orchards and vineyards from 1000 ft above the valley floor.
The Palisade Rim trail is open to Mountain Biking, Horseback riding, and Hiking. You can bring your dogs along as well.
WARNING: This trail is considered very difficult and caution should be taken when riding/hiking. You will pass very closely to cliff edges and is NOT recommended to; “inexperienced riders,” anyone with a fear of edges and ledges, or those with a weak heart and a will to live.
