Palisade Wine Country Retreat

Thanks for your interest in our home!

We sincerely hope you enjoy your stay in the area and have a wonderful time. Palisade is a unique town and we’re sure you will find plenty of interesting things to see and do. Whether you wish to explore the area, engage in a variety of outdoor activities or simply relax with a glass of local wine there is something for everyone.  If you have any questions, please just reach out to us.

Kirk is a 4th generation Palisade resident and this home originally belonged to his grandfather.  Members of our family have lived on the property since 1910. The Buntes were originally German immigrants who had been wheat farmers in Kansas and who moved to Palisade at the turn of the 20th century. When they arrived in Palisade they started a peach orchard that once stretched from the railroad on the north end of the property to the Colorado River on the south.

The 1930’s bungalow was fully renovated in 2018 and is furnished with comfy beds, antiques and local Colorado charm.  The house has a new kitchen and bathroom, and has 3 bedrooms.  The home was completely modernized to include many 21st century amenities but we wanted to keep some of the original features like the hardwood floors and doors to retain the original charm of the house.   We adjoin Peach Bowl Park and are within walking distance of downtown Palisade and convenient for all the fun the Grand Valley offers!

Enjoy a glass of local wine on the Patio after a day of mountain biking, shopping and exploring the Grand Valley.  Craft a gourmet meal using the new appliances, or enjoy carry-out from a local restaurant at the pub table, in the dining room or snuggled on the couch.  Relax by the fireplace, or fire pit, on a chilly evening before a peaceful night sleep on new Colorado Cloud mattresses.

Outside enjoy the screened in porch, patio, fire pit and gardens. Inside there’s plenty of space for cooking local foods from the farmers’ market in the new kitchen and enjoying your meals at the pub table, breakfast bar or formal dining room table with service and seating for 8.

Pets are allowed with permission and we have secure bike storage.  If you have any questions, please contact us.
