Disc golf is a fun family activity; all you need is a disc (frisbee) and a golf course. Riverbend Park provides a world-class disc golf course that meets the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) guidelines for A-tier sanctioned tournaments. Still, it is open for anyone to enjoy.

The course begins on the north side of the west lake by the main parking lot and has 19 baskets. You can start practicing your throws in the practice basket by the west parking lot. Once you’re ready to start, you will throw your disc from the first tee pad on Hole 1. Simply count the number of throws it takes to land your disc in the basket. All of the holes are par 3 except #8, 9, and 11, which are par 4 when the baskets are set in the long positions.

Ten of the holes also have short tees for people who don’t throw quite as far; these are holes 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 11, 15, 17, and 18. Hole 19 is on the south side of the west lake. The tee signs for each hole make the course easy to follow. The pin position for each basket is marked on the sign.
