Getting Around

If you’ve never been here before, you might be wondering how to get around Palisade

From bikes to carriage rides, we have lots of transportation options available!

Palisade, Colorado, is located just east of Grand Junction and Clifton. Its western slope location and high desert climate make for beautiful weather. The area is known for over 300 days of sunshine a year and often much milder winters than its neighbors on the other side of the state. It is surrounded by stunning Bookcliff rock formations, including the most notable peak, Mt. Garfield. The Grand Mesa, the world’s largest flat-topped mountain, is just to the east, and it usually takes less than an hour to get from Palisade to the mesa’s beautiful hikes, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, and fishing. You can find Palisade along I-70 at Exit 42.

Our visitors are often looking for tour companies and alternate transportation options to get them from winery to winery as they taste Colorado’s award-winning wines. Whether you prefer a self-guided bike ride or a knowledgeable tour guide to drive you around, you’re sure to find it in Palisade.
