Skiing, Biking, Hiking in Colorado

Located less than an hour from Palisade, Colorado, Powderhorn Ski Resort is a fantastic family resort offering a vertical drop of 1,650 feet and 600 skiable acres. The average snowfall is 250 inches, with 20 percent of the trail dedicated to beginners, 50 percent for intermediate skiers, and 30 percent for advanced and expert skiers. It’s the perfect place to go skiing or snowboarding in western Colorado, and with Palisade just down the mountain, you have plenty of nearby options for a delicious dinner or a place to stay.

In the summer, mountain bikers and hikers can escape the heat by hitting the slopes. Powderhorn Resort offers cross-country trails that are 6 miles in length, primarily for mountain bikers but are also open for hiking. Trails range from intermediate to advanced, and bikers will experience an elevation change of about 800 feet. Trail maps and condition information are available at the trailhead.

Look at those Colorado views!

Powderhorn Resort is located at the top of the Grand Mesa, the world’s largest flat-top mountain. Views from the slopes overlook a breathtaking 1600 acres of mountain terrain.

Jay Van Dyke - Top Rated Squarespace Web Designer in New Jersey

Hi, I’m Jay. I’m a freelance web developer who specializes in Squarespace, and I’ve been building and customizing Squarespace sites for over 9 years.

A lot of my experience comes from working inside the real constraints of the platform, not just designing pages but dealing with how sites actually behave once they’re live. That means things like layout limitations, styling edge cases, performance quirks, and the moments where Squarespace is great until it suddenly isn’t.

Most of what I write here comes directly from real projects, real questions, and real problems I see people run into with Squarespace every day.
