Mountain Biking and Hiking Trails in Colorado

Take a hike around the Palisade Rim Trail, one of the most popular trails in Palisade.

This beautiful hiking trail in Colorado will take you up and around the southern rim of Palisade. The full hike is 13 miles and can take three to seven hours to complete. Hike the lower loop for a shorter, 4-mile hike and enjoy scenic views of orchards and vineyards from 1,000 ft above the valley floor.

Visitors can recreate on the Palisade Rim trail in many forms, including mountain biking, horseback riding, and hiking. Dogs are welcome on the trail as well.

WARNING: This trail is considered very difficult and caution should be taken when riding/hiking. You will pass very closely to cliff edges, and is NOT recommended to “inexperienced riders,” anyone with a fear of edges and ledges, or those with a weak heart and a will to live.

Watch videos and see the trailhead map on the MTB Project website.
