Spread out across 100 acres, the Tillman Bishop State Wildlife Area is the perfect place for hunting deer, waterfowl, and small game, plus warm water fishing. To hunt small game and waterfowl, reservations are required. For more information, visit Tillman Bishop State Wildlife Area.

To access the wildlife area, take Hwy 6 East from Palisade, cross the Colorado River, and turn south onto 38 Road. Follow 38 Road until it becomes F 1/4 Road. Continue over the canal, make an immediate right, and follow the canal road to the parking area.

Many come to enjoy the area just outside of Palisade for fishing, bird watching, hiking trails, and photography.
